Welcome to my newly launched website and blog platform, where I'll be sharing updates on my latest writing projects, events, press, and of course, celebrating the Christmas horror subgenre. My book A Scary Little Christmas: A History of Yuletide Horror Films, 1972-2022 dropped earlier this year by McFarland Press and my first couple of book selling and signing events are coming up in December.
First, I will be graciously attending this year's Season's Screamings event in Los Angeles, California between 2 and 4 December. I was invited to present a speech about my book and offer some commentary about the Christmas horror subgenre, and of course, signing and selling some books and other cool merch.
Later in December, I'll be making a road trip down to the historical Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia to catch a screening of Santa Claus (1959) hosted by the rad folks from Videodrome Atlanta. I'll have a table selling and signing books and festive seasonal merch as well! If luck has it, I'll be swinging by Grindhouse Video in Tennessee on the way home, fingers crossed.
In the near future, I'll be selling some new Christmas horror merch here on the website, some of which is designed and created by the incredibly talented duo Aletha and Marissa over at Alethalweaponart. I'm also hoping to create a publications page and write some new reviews about the raft of new Christmas horror films due out this year -- some good looking installments are on the way. I'll also be covering the physical release of Deathcember, which will be available from Vinegar Syndrome this November and is now available for pre-order. Finally, I'll be revealing some big news over the next few months regarding my latest book project. Much more to follow!
